HOLIDAY DESTINATION FRANCE
Favourite holiday destination?
Mauritius - it would be a great place to take the children. I went there once a long time ago, and it was fantastic.
Essential holiday item?
A book, as I do a lot of reading on holiday. A good book, sunshine, and a relaxing couple of weeks by the pool does the job.
Best childhood holiday?
An Easter break to London my father took us on when I was young. We did all the sights - the Houses of Parliament and Madame Tussauds. It was brilliant.
Any holidays from hell?
Not really. You have to make the most of things. Even the worst holidays are salvageable.
Summer sun or winter fun?
Both, if you can afford it. We wouldn't normally, but last year we took our girls ski-ing for the first time to Courchevel in France. I'd love to go back there because it's very high, so there's always snow, and it's a great place to learn. We've got a new baby boy Seamus, so it'll be a while before we're back on the slopes with him.
Off anywhere this year?
We're going to a wedding in Ireland in the summer, but we're so busy working with the band this year that we've not had time to think about it. We're touring throughout May, so we'll be on the move then, but we've got nothing planned yet. Maybe France later in the year.
