Fans Brave Winter Weather For Another
Deacon Blue Reunion Performance

The Press & Journal 30th December 2003

Hundreds of fans braved the winter weather to make their way to the Music Hall in Aberdeen last night for a show by Deacon Blue.

The Scots band, who held regular slots at the top of the charts throughout the 1990s, attracted a near- capacity crowd.

The fans who defied the frost and snow to see them were treated to a rare appearance by the original line-up.

Singer Ricky Ross was joined on stage by former members Lorraine MacKintosh, Dougie Vipond and James Prime in a reunion performance.

Throughout the gig, fans were treated to a host of the group's most famous hits, including Real Gone Kid, Chocolate Girl and the classic, Dignity.

Deacon Blue previously appeared in the north- east when they delighted festival-goers at Live at the Lawn at Crathes Castle in 2001.  Laura Grant
